The protocol is divided into 10 categories called “Concepts” (Air, Water, Nutrition, Light, Movement, Thermal Comfort, Sound, Materials, Mind, Community) and defined by performance and prescriptive indicators, which require specific technologies, design strategies, or policies to implement. The final score is divided into four levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

And in the Italian context?

The GPP (Green Public Procurement), introduced in Italy since 2008, qualifies as the main tool of the European Strategy on “Sustainable Consumption and Production”. It represents a means of intervention in environmental policy aimed at promoting a market oriented towards products and services with a lower environmental impact by adopting, through ministerial decrees, the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) for each category of products, services, and works purchased or entrusted by the Public Administration.
