Floors and coverings in LVT, SPC, PVC, Linoleum: discover Chimiver’s dedicated range of self-leveling compounds, primers, lacquers, and detergents

Do you know that vinyl coverings (LVT, SPC, PVC) represent a continuously evolving type of flooring due to their extreme versatility and adaptability to any environment?

Generally, these surfaces are easy to apply but require specific products to ensure optimal and durable results. To meet the needs of installers and private citizens, Chimiver has formulated a range of solutions designed for every phase of the application cycle and all processing stages:

1. Leveling the joints

Rasafuga Perfetto: a ready-to-use smoothing agent for grouts, suitable for self-supporting floors and bonding with reactive adhesives (Adesiver RE 702) or peel-and-stick adhesives (Adesiver RE-MOVE). This product allows you to fill and smooth joints in existing floors with great simplicity, enabling you to proceed directly to the installation of the new flooring. 2. Preparing the laying surface

Chimiver offers a complete range for preparing the substrate. Thanks to the cementitious line Rasochim, you can level the laying surface. Multiple solutions for various needs:

• Rasochim AL: Fast-setting self-leveling cement for civil floors with thicknesses up to 10 mm.
• Rasochim TOP: Fast-setting self-leveling cement for civil, industrial, and commercial floors with thicknesses up to 20 mm.
• Rasochim MAXI: Fast-setting self-leveling smoothing with thicknesses from 5 to 40 mm.
• Rasochim FAST: Very fast-setting thixotropic cement smoothing for walls and floors with thicknesses up to 30 mm.
• Rasochim 1400M: Fast-setting thixotropic cement smoothing for floors and walls with thicknesses up to 6 mm.

It is always necessary to ensure that the substrates are dry, solid, free of dust, removable parts, paints, waxes, oils, rust, and traces of chalk. For this reason, dusty or very porous cementitious substrates must be previously treated with PRYMER W (Water-based dust primer to consolidate substrates) or CHIMIGRIP (Water-based acrylic adhesion promoter – No sanding required!) to fix the dust. This makes the surfaces suitable for subsequent steps.

3. Applying the finish

Once the substrate is prepared and the chosen vinyl covering is laid, you can proceed with the application of lacquer on LVT, SPC, PVC, LINOLEUM, rubber, etc.

Chimiver has two types of lacquer for vinyl surfaces in its catalog: Ecostar 2K HP and Ecostar 2K HP Colorata.

• Ecostar 2K HP: Two-component aliphatic polyurethane water-based lacquer for treating LVT, SPC, PVC, LINOLEUM, rubber, etc. The product creates a transparent and flexible coating that provides high chemical-physical resistance, wear resistance, scratch resistance and abrasion resistance, also giving an anti-slip effect to the flooring.
• Ecostar 2K HP Colorata: Two-component aliphatic polyurethane water-based COLORED lacquer for treating LVT, SPC, PVC, LINOLEUM, etc. The product creates a transparent and flexible coating that provides high chemical-physical resistance, wear resistance, scratch resistance and abrasion resistance, also giving an anti-slip effect to the flooring. Available in RAL, NCS, and custom colors.

4. Cleaning and maintaining vinyl floors

The last phase involves the cleaning and maintenance of LVT, SPC, PVC, and linoleum. Chimiver has developed a professional cleaning and maintenance line specifically for vinyl floors.

• Velurex LVT Cleaner: Cleaner for cleaning vinyl floors (LVT, SPC, PVC, Linoleum, etc.). The antistatic emulsion facilitates dust absorption by the cloth and delays its formation. It is also additive with special nanoparticles that guarantee deep and prolonged cleaning of treated surfaces. Ideal cleaner even in the presence of pets. The product has intensive action and does not require surface rinsing.
• Velurex Re-Pair Matt: MATTE protective coating for extraordinary maintenance of wood, resin, and resilient floors such as LVT, SPC, PVC, and linoleum, particularly damaged and subjected to high foot traffic. It gives the treated surface a new look characterized by the following properties: surface hardness, tenacity, and transparency.
• Velurex Re-Pair Lack: GLOSSY protective coating for extraordinary maintenance of wood, resin, and resilient floors such as LVT, SPC, PVC, and linoleum, particularly damaged and subjected to high foot traffic. It gives the treated surface a new look characterized by the following properties: surface hardness, tenacity, and transparency.

Thanks to Velurex LVT Cleaner, a cleaner for regular cleaning and daily washing, and Velurex Re-Pair (Matt or Lack), a protector for extraordinary maintenance and to remove scratches and signs of wear, you can keep the floor looking new.
