Faq

It is an assembled and industrially treated floor. It consists of several layers of wood (usually 2 or 3 layers) substantially divided into:

  • first layer of noble core;
  • second support layer in birch, poplar or conifer plywood;
  • counter-balancing with wood of the same specific weight as the noble core (only in the 3 layers).

By noble core, we mean the most precious part of a pre-finished wooden element, that is the upper part of a wooden floor (also known as multilayer parquet), that can be walked on. An element from a single wood species is called solid wood.

Wood flooring is one of the favorite choices among people who like to have this kind of material in their home. Maintaining the parquet is very simple and does not require too much effort:

  1. It is recommended to use a vacuum cleaner or an electrostatic cloth to constantly remove / capture all excess dust.
  2. Wash the surface with a suitable detergent. The best products for cleaning a floor are those specifically formulated for cleaning the various types of wooden floors (oiled, varnished, waxed, etc.). It is not recommended to use products that are too aggressive for the surface. Clean the surface by sliding the cloth along the grain of the floor (thus avoiding the formation of ring and streaks on the floor).
  3. Regenerate the floor (* if necessary)

It is possible to lay the parquet on pre-existing floors if this floor is solidly fixed (tiles, ceramic, stone, ...). Furthermore, the substrate must be perfectly clean with no residue of dirt or grease. Eventually, it should be sanded to improve the adhesion of the new adhesive.

To remove the 'softer' part of the residual glue, simply remove it mechanically, for example with the aid of a plastic spatula. To remove the more anchored glue residues, however, you will need solvent (use the most suitable one based on the characteristics of the adhesive or glue used).

Abrasion resistance is the ability of the flooring to resist wear deriving mainly from foot traffic.
